Dear LBCFF Team,
There are three links here, one is painting a dire picture of the
CoronaVirus, one of the 1918 Spanish Flu, one of UN Secretary General
warning the world. If you don’t have time to watch the whole video of the
1918 account, please start it at the 25 minute part and at 25 minutes 20
seconds it will explain that the authorities thought the virus had run it’s
course and told everyone not to worry. Think of all the people who come
forward after a mass shooting or terrorist attack and say they knew there
was something wrong with the people that carried out the terror but they
didn’t want to get involved and have people think they were alarmists.
Do we really have the luxury to play it safe thinking if we are wrong we
will be accused of being alarmists? What about Jonah? Didn’t he go
through some of the same things. He didn’t want to go but after being
swallowed, deposited on the beach, he warned of what could come upon
Nineveh if they didn’t repent.
Not unlike any of us, he didn’t want to be ridiculed as a false messenger
when the event he warned of didn’t happen, in fact he got depressed
thinking of how it made him look bad. God had to straighten him out, he
should have been glad that the calamity he spoke of didn’t happen and lives
were spared. He finally understood. The calamity didn’t happen because
God saw repentance and stopped the coming disaster.
In Davids situation we read: “And when the angel stretched out his hand
upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said
to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand.
And the angel of the LORD was by the threshingplace of Araunah the
Jebusite. And David spake unto the LORD when he saw the angel that smote the people, and said, Lo, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly: but
these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, be against
me, and against my father’s house.” 2 Samuel 24:16-17. David, the
believer, did wrong and a collective judgment came on the people. We have
a great responsibility as do the leaders we elect to govern us, we chose
our leaders and reap what we sow.
May God give us eyes to see. Just a few things to consider. Isaiah
3:4,9,12,25; 26:9. Zephaniah 1:11-12; along with this verse: “She obeyed
not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in the LORD;
she drew not near to her God. Her princes within her are roaring lions;
her judges are evening wolves; they gnaw not the bones till the morrow.
Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted
the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.” Zephaniah 3:2-4
The UN General Secretary is warning of the Four Horsemen coming on the
world (the very rocks will cry out) He’s identified the problem but not the
correct solution. It’s not a better vaccine, weapon, self help class,
weather control, internment camps, stronger leaders, etc, etc. Hosea 4:6
says we are destroyed for a lack of knowledge, because we have rejected the law of God. Jesus said to go and teach. That is the solution, teach
quickly, make the Word of God available. As Jesus taught: “…Repent: for
the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew 4:17. God is a refuge in the
coming storm (Isaiah 4:6).

Please be praying for Dr. Alicia, I have not heard from her for over 24
hours. She was last in Bangladesh.
God bless. Gerry Mahn
PS Some are saying all is well, don’t worry a few may get sick in the US
but all this talk of ‘disaster’ are way overblown. We have it under
control.
Others like the one at the link contained here are painting a far
different picture. I don’t know which is correct, maybe somewhere in the
middle. At this point only God knows. A watchman warns but does not
panic. “The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall
remain in the congregation of the dead… A prudent man foreseeth the
evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.”
Proverbs 21:16; 22:3
