Dear LBCFF Team,
April 23, 2020
World leaders struggle in vain to find solutions. David understood, along
with the other Bible writers. “Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy
commandments are truth.” Psalms 119:151
The first one of the Ten Commandments points us to Jesus Christ, “…the
Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” John 1:29.
“I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt,
out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”
Exodus 20:2-3
While in bondage in Egypt they were instructed by God, through Moses, to
have a lamb live with them four days. On the night of the passover they
were instructed to kill the lamb and put the blood over the doors and side
posts of their houses (Exodus 12), then to cook in the fire and eat the
rest of the lamb.
In the night the death angle passed over the houses where the lambs blood
was and the walked out of bondage through the door covered over with the
blood of the Lamb. They continued walking into the promised land by the
strength of the Lamb they had eaten and had inside them.
All this represented Jesus Christ, the True Lamb of God, who died and shed
His blood for us that we may, one day, enter the ‘Promised Land’.
So, we love the beautiful law of Liberty, it begins with the Love of God
and how He delivered us while we were/are in the house of bondage to sin,
represented by Egypt long ago. All we have to do is admit we are in bondage and take the Lamb and by faith apply His blood to the door of our heart and soul. Humble ourselves, admit we are in bondage to sin, as outlined in the next nine commandments that we have not walked in.
Now with Him in our hearts He will be our Lord, in our hearts, to carry us
into the next nine Commandments free from all transgressions. A land
without guilt.
“He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in
him… It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the
words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” John
6:56,63
David said, “O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day. Thou
through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me…” Psalms 119:97-99.
David saw that all major Truths were contained in those Ten Commandments (Exodus 20). The first four are the foundation of Love for God. The next
six are the foundation of Love for our fellow mankind.
David knew that all events in the world are related to our obedience to
these ten simple commandments. If we keep them we prosper, if we break them we suffer. Thus the key to David’s and, his son, Solomon’s success.
David said, “Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold… Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy
law.” Psalms 119:127,136.
Solomon said, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God,
and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” Ecclesiastes
12:13.
Current events can be better understood if we understand as David and
Solomon did. “So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the
law of liberty.” James 2:12.
God bless,
