Nicaragua & video link

September 29, 2019 By Gerry Mahn

Dear LBCFF (Law By Choice For Freedom) Team:           9-28-19

Here is the document sent by our friend  Miguel Angel Casco González, it
tells a little about the activities that are going on in Nicaragua.  The
English that is first was translated by me from the internet, may not be
exact but the Spanish that he sent follows.  God bless you each one.  Will
be back next week from Nicaragua.

CARAGUA CELEBRATES IN PEACE AND RECONCILIATION THE 450th ANNIVERSARY OF
THE TRANSLATION OF THE BIBLE TO THE SPANISH.

Next weekend (September 28 and 29) in all the municipalities of our
country, thousands of evangelical Christians will concentrate on streets
and squares, to celebrate the 450th Anniversary of the translation of the
Bible into Spanish.  Propitious moment to thank God for the precursors of
the Gospel, for the colporteurs who at very difficult times delivered the
Bible to the people, for the young people who literate thousands of
Nicaraguan brothers, for the Government of Reconciliation and National
Unity that honors  to God through love for others and for fostering spaces
of peace and reconciliation.

In truth, this is a great event that forces us all to reflect on the
miracle of the revealed Word, the incarnate Word and the written Word and, how God in time and space preserved for his children a Testament that
contains a great  inheritance and promises in force until today.
Inheritance, promises and blessings to which one has access by reading and
hearing “So faith is by hearing, and hearing, by the word of God” (Romans
10:17) Consequently, not being able to study the  Bible in the language of
the people is like having a sealed book.  This is what the biblical prophet
was referring to when he said: “And all vision will be to you as words of a
sealed book, which, if they give to the one who knows how to read, and say:
Read this now;  He will say: I can’t, because it’s sealed.  And if the book
is given to the one who cannot read, saying: Read this now: he will say: I
cannot read “(Isaiah 29: 11,12).

Not long ago, just 54 years ago the bible was like a sealed book for
millions of Spanish-speaking people, who could not read the sacred text in
the original languages.  to the extent that the Catholic faithful attended
the masses to hear the homilies in Latin without understanding anything the priest said.  While this was happening in the Catholic parishes, in the
valleys and regions of Nicaragua, the pioneers of the evangelical churches
distributed bibles to the people in their own language, thus establishing a
direct link with the poorest and most humble sectors.

GOD’S PLAN WAS IN MARCH

It was not God’s will that the Spanish-speaking peoples listen to his Word
in other languages or that his Testament was a secret code, with access
only to privileged minorities.  Important efforts were carried out by
Catholic and Protestant scholars to translate important fragments of the
biblical canon into Spanish.  Prior to the publication of the complete work
of Casiodoro de Reina, the existing bibles (or part of them) in Spanish,
were translations made from the Vulgate of San Jerónimo de Estridón.  The
Bear Bible was published in Basel, Switzerland, on September 28, 1569. Its
translator was Casiodoro de Reina, a Spanish Catholic religious converted
to Protestantism. This first complete edition of the Bible in Spanish
receives the nickname of Reina Valera for having  Cipriano de Valera made
her first revision in 1602. Thus, as of September 28, 1569 – 450 years ago
– the Spanish-speaking world began to read the sacred text in its own
language.

In our case in 1999 and 2010 justice was done to the original Miskitu and
Mayangna peoples.  Leaders of the Moravian Church established in the
Nicaraguan Caribbean since 1849, together with Capuchin friars, were the
precursors of important translations of the Bible into the vernacular of
native peoples.  In 1999, Papang Yulni (The Word of God) was published in
the Mayangna language and in 2010 Dawan Bila (The Word of God) in the
Miskita language.- both publications were supported and advised by CIEETS
and the SBU.  Thus fulfilling the purpose of God for the original peoples,
heirs of the eternal promises.

THE WORD PROCESS

The written word that is contained in the Bible today was first a hidden
word in the mind of God, which is then revealed and inspired.  “All the
writing is inspired by God and useful… In a third moment the Word
revealed to patriarchs and prophets becomes flesh and dwells among us.
Mystery and miracle that is conjugated in what is revealed in St. John: .1
and 1: 14 “In the beginning was the Word (The Word), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  And that Word was made flesh, and I dwell among us (and we saw his glory, glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth. “This revelation is the synthesis of the mystery of the incarnation of the Word in the fruitful womb of the  Virgin Mary From this moment on, the voice of God was no longer the intermediary of the patriarchs, the prophets or the angels, but it was directly through his son Jesus.  Of which the writer testifies to the Hebrews when he declares: “God having spoken many times, and in many ways at another time to the parents for the prophets.  In these last days he has spoken to us by the Son, to whom I constitute heir of everything, and by whom he also made the universe (Hebrews 1: 1-2)

Later that Word that was in the mind of God, which was revealed and
incarnated, went on to experience another miracle, surviving the oral
tradition becoming a written Word that exposes and reveals the plan of
salvation for humanity. How, then, will they invoke  the one in whom they
have not believed?  And how will they believe in the one from whom they
have not heard?  And how can they hear without a preacher?  And how will
they preach if they are not sent?  (Romans 10: 14, 15)

THE WORD OF GOD IS LIVE AND EFFECTIVE

Because as the rain and snow descend from the heavens, And they do not
return there but they irrigate the earth, Making it produce and germinate,
giving seed to the sower and bread to him who eats, so will be my word that comes out of my mouth, no He will return to Me empty, without having done what I desire, and accomplished the purpose, to whom I sent it “(Isaiah 55: 10-11) This means that the word of God has the power to produce profound and radical changes in people’s lives and in society.  The word of God is like a deep river, that its flow does not run out and that in its wake gives life to everyone who drinks from that water;  because “the grass dries up, the flower withers, but the word of our God remains forever.”  (1 Peter 1:24).  It is an eternal word and its invariable fulfillment “For in truth I say to you that until the heavens and the earth pass, neither the smallest letter nor a mark of the law will be lost until everything is fulfilled” (Matthew 5: 18)  )

THE BIBLE IS THE MOST READ BOOK

The translations of the Bible have been numerous, it has been translated
into 450 languages completely and more than 2000 partially, which makes
the Bible the most translated book in history.  Some of them have been
transcendental for the development of the languages and cultures in which
they occurred, but above all their influence on history, science, knowledge
and social and spiritual transformation of peoples has been transcendent.
.  The Bible is the Book that contains the message of God for humanity.  It
deals with God and the human condition.  From its first pages it teaches
that there is a creative God, which requires obedience, faithfulness and
responsibility.  He relates that the failure of humanity is born in his
disobedience to God, by choosing his own path and will.  The Bible also
tells us about the action and revelation of God, about his love and his
saving power manifested in the midst of human history.  The Bible is the
Word of God, because through it God speaks to his people, and makes known to him his will and his ways of acting in the world.  The Bible tells us
about Laws, Decrees and Statutes and above all reveals the great love of
God for humanity by sending his only son Jesus to this Planet Earth to be
born from the womb of the Virgin Mary to rescue us from eternal death and  Give us life in abundance.  Only the thought of God is before the word and this once said generates liberating action in people and in society.

NICARAGUA IS FERTILE LAND FOR THE WORD OF GOD

Nicaragua is a fertile land where the Word of God germinates and bears
fruit, runs and is glorified in the midst of its people.  Its
transformative effect is present and real, not only because the vast
majority of Nicaraguans are believers in the God of life, but because we
have assumed love and solidarity towards others as a Christian value.  So I
can say that the life of this people – in their different areas – is marked
by the Grace of God

One of these areas is the implementation of a social policy inspired by
Christian Values, Socialist Ideals and Solidarity Practices, whose actions
have the neighbor as the main subject.  On that horizon the Gospel teaches
us that love of neighbor is an essential component of the Christian faith.
“For he who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God
who has not seen” (1 Jn 4:20)….  “He who says that he is in the light,
and hates his brother, is still in darkness” (1 John 2: 10) because “in
this the sons of God and the sons of the devil are manifest: anyone who
does not  justice, and who does not love his brother, is not of God. ”  (1
John 3: 10) Here the binomial Faith and work is synthesized in love and
justice towards others, fundamental pillars for the construction of peace.

Let us celebrate with faith and joy this 450th Anniversary of the
translation of the Bible into Spanish and not be content just to have the
Bible in our homes or to take it to our churches.  The Bible is to
scrutinize it and, above all, put it into practice.  The apostle exhorts
us: “Be more doers of the word, and not only listeners, deceiving
yourselves.  Because if anyone hears the word, and does not put it to work,
this is similar to the man who considers his natural face in a mirror.
Because he considered himself, and left, and then forgot how he was, so
that we are not forgetful listeners, but doers of truth.  (James 1:
22-27).  Therefore, do not worry about what we do not understand from the
Bible.  Let us worry about what we understand and do not apply to our
lives.

Remember

September 11, 2019 By Gerry Mahn

“These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto
him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood…”
Proverbs 6:16-17

May we remember, as God remembers, the innocent all over the world, from every country and every time, from long ago and those in the future, till Jesus returns.  From the child in the womb to the aged:

“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest
forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto
the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5  “And even to your old age I am he; and even to
hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will
carry, and will deliver you.” Isaiah 46:4

Remember:
Who can forget that day, I was in Managua, Nicaragua going to visit with
leaders of the country.  Early in the morning when my friend came to pick
me up at the hotel she was anxious and was leaning out the car window
telling me a terrible thing was taking place in America, airplanes were
hitting the capital and killing many people, it was in progress right then.
I told her she had to be mistaken, she was adamant it was true.  We went
directly to her home and watched it unfold on their small TV with coat
hanger rabbit ears.  We were in shock.  Later that day we did meet with
leaders and with greater zeal explained about the Ten Commandments,
including Jesus as revealed in the very first commandment,  and the
necessity of turning our hearts back to God.

“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he
that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of
life… For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to
the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth
cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are
wrought in God… …Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is
great and terrible… …our God shall fight for us.”
John 8:12; 3:20-21;
Nehemiah 4:14,20;

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
“My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.” Psalm 46:1;
7:10

“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their
destructions.” Psalm 107:20

God bless you each one, We go forward from strength to strength by His
Grace.

Accident Report and Others

August 19, 2019 By Gerry Mahn

Dear LBCFF Team,  8-18-19
There was an accident in Liberia that has prompted
this report.  God bless.
Gerry

There are four attachments.

As you know we are working on some business projects in Liberia to make
money to support the distribution of the Word of God.  During the recent
trip to Liberia we made plans for several projects, one of which involved
activities a long ways from Monrovia, in the Sinoe area near Greenville.

Unfortunately, while traveling there there was an accident, Kocker
explains what has transpired.  We are determined not to stop with the
projects. Please, as you think about these things, we ask an interest in your
prayers that God’s will be done.

May He continue to direct each of us as we do the duty that is on our
plates. Karuna is asking for us to pray for his area in India, they are having bad flooding.  Enock is asking for help with the printing of posters in Kenya,
as is Robert in Uganda, he has just been asked to host a very large
gathering.  We also have several other area’s of need and requests for
more Ten Commandment posters.

Kocker sent this e-mail at 9:20pm Friday night (8-16-19) followed by
another one:

PRAY FOR US, TEAM IN LIBERIA. A CALL THAT WOKE ME FROM SLEEP 5 MINUTES AGO SAYS OUR CREW TRAVELLING TO SINOE, THAT IS, OUTSIDE OF MONROVIA HAVE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT, NO OTHER DETAILS AS COMMUNICATION IS VERY BAD.
KOCKER

The other one at 9:27pm

A CALL FROM KULEE ABOUT 6 MINUTES AGO SAYS THEY HAD A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. NOTHING ELSE HAVE BEEN HEARD FROM HIM. NO OTHER DETAILS, IT IS 4:24 AM THIS SABBATH MORNING, THE NEWS GOT ME 5-6 MINUTES AGO FROM KULEE, AS THAT WAS SAID, ” WE HAD A SERIOUS ACCIDENT”. I AM NOT GETTING ANY OTHER THING.
KOCKER

This one came at 11:07 in the morning 8-17-19

I was on the site, brother, by 6:00 AM, could not attend service, it is a
miracle that anyone could survive in such an accident. Patrick, I sent to
the hospital, Kulee vows to continue. Thank God for his resilience, but I
advised that we observe his health awhile, though he refused to return
with me as other means are being worked out to send another vehicle that will convey them to Sinoe. Will send you the photos later.
Kocker

My reply sent at 5:26 pm:

Praise God!!  I’m so thankful it was not worse.  Give my love to my
brothers Patrick and Kulee. Nothing is worth them getting hurt!
The enemy is trying to stop us, by God’s Grace we go forward.
God bless you also Kocker.
Gerry

Kockers last repy sent at 0:55 am, this morning  (8-18-19).

Yes, thankful, brother, praise God.

Kocker sent another message at 1:25 pm today (8-18-19)

Except for Patrick, Kulee is okay and is resolved to continue, and
afterwards, Patrick, if discharged, is also willing to continue.
Attached are excerpts of the scenes. Unfortunately, the vehicle is not insured, so what we pray for is, that the owner of the car will take them as we have paid before they boarded the vehicle. What a risk, but thank God they are alive.
Kocker

This from Robert in Uganda, with a copy of the Bible text he refers too
that we send out on WhatsApp:

“Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his
commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word… Behold, the days
come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a
famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the
LORD… He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their
destructions… He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set
judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law… The Lord
gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.”
Psalms 103:20;
Amos 8:11;
Psalms 107:20;
Isaiah 42:4;
Psalms 68:11

From Robert:
Those that do his commandments……. Behold the days come.
We need to obey him through observing the Ten commandments and be ready for Him. Thank you for the good news.

I have been invited to manage one of the biggest event in the western
region as the MC. I will go with some to distribute posters. The region is
hosting the King and will be accompanied by the prime minister and govern central bank.

The event shall be attended by more than ten Ministers and more members of parliament and other big officials. This will attract so many people. It
is another opportunity to reach a very big audience. Pray for it.
Robert, Uganda 8-18-19

From Karuna:

Please have your prayers for the 3 days fasting prayer  & Ten commandments distribution from 19,20,21 August 2019 in our church premises, please come and participate and be blessed. If you have any prayer requests you can send me, we will pray about it. God bless you. Hope to hear from you and see you.
Ps Karuna Nidhi, India

From Enock:

Dear Gerry,
I send you greetings in the Lord Jesus Christ who gave us Love.
I request that if it is possible to send me some money to produce more Ten
Commandments posters for this season of camp meetings.

Forward boldly, by His Grace.

August 17, 2019 By Gerry Mahn

Dear LBCFF Team:  8-16-19

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it
is the gift of God…” Ephesians 2:8

“For if by one man’s offence [Adam’s] death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall
reign in life by one, Jesus Christ…  That as sin hath reigned unto death,
even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus
Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:17, 21

“Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from
death… Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth
from death.” Proverbs 10:2; 11:4

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected
knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me:
seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy
children…   For they shall eat, and not have enough: they shall commit
whoredom, and shall not increase: because they have left off to take heed
to the LORD.”  Hosea 4:6,10

Hosea says: “shall not increase…”  abortion, which many times comes from
whoredom, has caused us to not have enough workers.  If we had the
50,000,000 babies that were born to us, in our land, we may not be facing
some of the extreme problems before us.

A quick reading of what happened in the past as recorded for us in the
Bible will tell us what to expect if we don’t turn around and correct our
ways.  Strangers overthrew those who turned from God.
Isaiah 3; Deuteronomy 28; and all through the Bible we are warned of the
consequences of rebellion against God and His law of liberty (liberty from
sin and it’s consequences; death and destruction).

Jesus warned us of what would be transpiring in the final days and Isaiah
had words also: “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against
kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in
divers places.” Matthew 24:7  “Your country is desolate, your cities are
burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it
is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.” Isaiah 1:7  “Let them bring them
forth, and show us what shall happen: let them show the former things, what they be, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare us things for to come.” Isaiah 41:22

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count
slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should
perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in
heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them
in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching
them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am
with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:18-20

“Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the
chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up
as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and
despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.   Therefore is the anger of
the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand
against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their
carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is
not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.  And he will lift up
an ensign to the nations from far, and will hiss unto them from the end of
the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly…” Isaiah
5:24-26

“And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an
ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be
glorious.” Isaiah 11:10

To ‘it’ shall the Gentiles seek: and ‘his’ rest shall be glorious.  It is
the Ten Commandments and He is the Messiah, Jesus Christ.  THE WORD OF GOD. They are one.

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in
heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied
in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done
many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock…” Matthew 7:21-25

The Word is written on the Rock of our salvation, they are one.  Stone.
As we say: “It’s written in stone.”

“And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.” Deuteronomy 4:13

“For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being
judges.” Deuteronomy 32:31

Anything, or anyone, that separates Jesus Christ, as revealed to us in the
Holy Bible, and the Word written by the finger of God is anti-christ (in
place of Christ).

“Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe
it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall
show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they
shall deceive the very elect.   Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore
if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth:
behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning
cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the
coming of the Son of man be.” Matthew 24:23-27

As we have taken the Ten Commandments to world leaders, and people, and explained about the first commandment being a type or shadow of the
sacrifice of Jesus Christ for us on the cross of Calvary many have said the
almost exact words of Isaiah 52:14-15

“As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any
man, and his form more than the sons of men: So shall he sprinkle many
nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not
been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they
consider.”

The lamb that was to live with a family for four days (Exodus 12) and then
be killed and the blood put on the door posts of their house, and they were
to eat the rest of the lamb, thus with the blood covering the door they
were permitted to leave the house of bondage.  Then with the Lamb on the
inside after eating it they were able to walk into freedom from the bondage
of Egypt, which is a type of the bondage of sin:  “And their dead bodies
shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called
Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.” Revelation 11:8.  All
of this was foreshadowing the true Lamb of God, Jesus Christ.

“The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” John 1:29

“Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat
the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you…
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words
that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:53, 63

Many of the followers of Jesus couldn’t understand these things, it
sounded like they were to eat His body.

“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for
they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are
spiritually discerned.” 1 Corinthians 2:14

“From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with
him.  Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon
Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of
eternal life.” John 6:66-68

As it says in verse 63, the words are where the life is.  Back to the
Word.

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man
cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6  “And the Word was made
flesh, and dwelt among us…” John 1:14

We must be wary of the days ahead and watch.
“With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within
me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the
inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.” Isaiah 26:9

“Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.” Isaiah 8:16
“And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the
living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it
was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth,
neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God
in their foreheads.” Revelation 7:2-3

Isaiah 8:16 tells us the law is to be sealed in the followers of Jesus,
then the winds of strife will be allowed in fury to blow.

“Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD
is near in the valley of decision.” Joel 3:14

As the world rushes to destroy the family through breaking the
commandments that say: “Thou shalt not kill.” (abortion) and “Thou shalt
not commit adultery.” (marriage between a man and woman) we are ripe for judgments in the land.  We have a warning message to give:  “If the
foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” Psalm 11:3

Do we sit and wring our hands when we see the foundations being destroyed? The text asks: “…what can the righteous do?”  We answer not with fear and indecision but with determination: “The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.” Proverbs 28:1

“Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and show my
people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins… And they
that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up
the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer
of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.” Isaiah 58:1, 12

By God’s Grace we will lift up the Word of God to the world.

God be with you each one.
