Warning & Garden

April 10, 2020 By Gerry Mahn

Dear LBCFF Team,

Attached is a letter, also it is here in case you are not able to download
an attachment.

We are concerned about all three aspects of our nature: Physical, Mental,
and Spiritual.

Here are some very good links to help with raising food especially greens
in small areas.

God bless,

Gerry Mahn
Law By Choice For Freedom

Dear LBCFF (Law By Choice For Freedom) Team,
                                                           April 2, 2020

Do we understand the times we are in? Judgments are in the world, why?
What is to be done?  “…because they have cast away the law of the LORD
of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel…  Thine enemies
roar in the midst of thy congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs…We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long. O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?” Isaiah 5:24; Psalm 74:4,9-10.

In every generation God has His people, “Here is the patience of the
saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of
Jesus.” Revelation 14:12  “And of the children of Issachar, which were men
that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do…  Of
Zebulun… which could keep rank: they were not of double heart.” 1
Chronicles 12:32-33

What happens to God’s enemy?  “And he shall pass over to his strong hold
for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the LORD,
whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.” Isaiah 31:9
“Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed
because of the truth. Selah.” Psalm 60:4

“All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when
he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet,
hear ye.” Isaiah 18:3

“The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published
it.” Psalm 68:11

Thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles,
and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in
their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.”
Isaiah 5:24; 49:22

Noah didn’t drown anyone, nor should he have, but God destroyed all the
people that lived with Noah. He warned them, they refused to hear.  Lot
didn’t punish his sons-in-laws but he did warn them, God destroyed them
all, as he said he would.   A day of Judgment is upon us.  Jesus warned us
of these very days we live in, read:  Matthew 24; Mark 13; Luke 21.  Along
with…

“The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even
the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.

That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of
wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of
clouds and thick darkness, A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers…  …because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung.   Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver
them in the day of the LORD’S wrath…” Zephaniah 1:14-18

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected
knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me:
seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy
children.” Hosea 4:6

How to warn?  “…God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”
Romans 12:3, we would describe it as a conscience, a still small voice.
This voice from within cries out, ‘This is it’, to the person that has an
honest heart when truth comes into the ears and eyes.   The uninformed are
waiting for that voice of warning as they see the banner lifted up.   And
what with us?  “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I
send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” Isaiah 6:8

“He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the
earth: and the isles shall wait for his law… The LORD is well pleased for
his righteousness’ sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.”
Isaiah 42:4, 21  Jesus the Ten Commandments personified, the Ten
Commandments Jesus codified.  “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt
among us…” John 1:14

“…his name is called The Word of God.” Revelation
19:13.

“It is time for thee, LORD, to work: for they have made void thy law.”
Psalm 119:126

“He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that
despiseth his ways shall die…  And I know that his commandment is life
everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto
me,
so I speak.” Proverbs 19:16; John 12:50

God bless you each one,    Gerry Mahn

We will seek the Lord

“Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon…
Isaiah 55:6-7.

Let us pray for the people in Wuhan, and all people, including ourselves.

Four Horsemen, perspective on China virus

February 5, 2020 By Gerry Mahn

Dear LBCFF Team,

There are three links here, one is painting a dire picture of the
CoronaVirus, one of the 1918 Spanish Flu, one of UN Secretary General
warning the world.  If you don’t have time to watch the whole video of the
1918 account, please start it at the 25 minute part and at 25 minutes 20
seconds it will explain that the authorities thought the virus had run it’s
course and told everyone not to worry.  Think of all the people who come
forward after a mass shooting or terrorist attack and say they knew there
was something wrong with the people that carried out the terror but they
didn’t want to get involved and have people think they were alarmists.

Do we really have the luxury to play it safe thinking if we are wrong we
will be accused of being alarmists?  What about Jonah?  Didn’t he go
through some of the same things.  He didn’t want to go but after being
swallowed, deposited on the beach, he warned of what could come upon
Nineveh if they didn’t repent.

Not unlike any of us, he didn’t want to be ridiculed as a false messenger
when the event he warned of didn’t happen, in fact he got depressed
thinking of how it made him look bad.  God had to straighten him out, he
should have been glad that the calamity he spoke of didn’t happen and lives
were spared.  He finally understood.  The calamity didn’t happen because
God saw repentance and stopped the coming disaster.

In Davids situation we read: “And when the angel stretched out his hand
upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said
to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand.
And the angel of the LORD was by the threshingplace of Araunah the
Jebusite.  And David spake unto the LORD when he saw the angel that smote the people, and said, Lo, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly: but
these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, be against
me, and against my father’s house.” 2 Samuel 24:16-17.  David, the
believer, did wrong and a collective judgment came on the people.  We have
a great responsibility as do the leaders we elect to govern us, we chose
our leaders and reap what we sow.

May God give us eyes to see. Just a few things to consider.  Isaiah
3:4,9,12,25; 26:9.  Zephaniah 1:11-12; along with this verse: “She obeyed
not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in the LORD;
she drew not near to her God.  Her princes within her are roaring lions;
her judges are evening wolves; they gnaw not the bones till the morrow.
Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted
the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.” Zephaniah 3:2-4

The UN General Secretary is warning of the Four Horsemen coming on the
world (the very rocks will cry out) He’s identified the problem but not the
correct solution.  It’s not a better vaccine, weapon, self help class,
weather control, internment camps, stronger leaders, etc, etc.  Hosea 4:6
says we are destroyed for a lack of knowledge, because we have rejected the law of God.  Jesus said to go and teach.  That is the solution, teach
quickly, make the Word of God available.  As Jesus taught: “…Repent: for
the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew 4:17.  God is a refuge in the
coming storm (Isaiah 4:6).

PS Some are saying all is well, don’t worry a few may get sick in the US
but all this talk of ‘disaster’ are way overblown.  We have it under
control.

Others like the one at the link contained here are painting a far
different picture.  I don’t know which is correct, maybe somewhere in the
middle.  At this point only God knows.  A watchman warns but does not
panic.  “The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall
remain in the congregation of the dead…  A prudent man foreseeth the
evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.”
Proverbs 21:16; 22:3

LBCFF, God bless you each one!

January 3, 2020 By Gerry Mahn

Dear LBCFF (Law By Choice For Freedom) Team members,

You are each very important not only to God but to me and many other
people in your lives.

We are like a great puzzle with many pieces that fit together to make a
great picture that can be seen and understood by those willing to look and
contemplate.

Each piece by itself may not make much sense when others see it by itself
but, as each of us goes forth, being guided by God in our lives, we find
our spot in the great masterpiece.  No one else would be able to fit in the
place meant by God for us.

Each of us has our doubts, our questions, our story, but we each have
found the answers in Jesus Christ, as revealed to us in the Holy Bible.  We
have direction and are determined to fill our place.  One of our heroes is
the poor widow (Luke 21:1-4), she loved God and gave her all to Him.  He
directed her steps, she was not a hero to the world but she was with Jesus,
and us.  God is leading us, be patient, be strong in faith know that God’s
mercy is great, His care for us is unlimited.

We choose very little in our lives, we don’t choose when we are born,
where, our parents, our sex, our height, color, where and if we go to
school when young, our inherited defects, etc etc.  But what we do choose
is what we do with what we are and have.  When we choose Christ we have a captain of our lives to guide and direct us to the place He has reserved
for us.

No one else can fill our place in life we are the only one with our story.
Don’t let the enemy of our souls sow doubt in our hearts.  He is all
merciful, when we fall He is there to pick us up and repair the damage and
guide us to the next step.  He will never leave us not forsake us.  If we
fall he is faithful and just to forgive us as we turn back to Him, He draws
us to Himself with unfailing love.

He owns the cattle on a thousand hills, we are His children, this whole
world is His and we are able to go where He leads and He will provide what
we need, He owns it all.  Our faith in Him is our victory.

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such
things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake
thee.” Hebrews 13:5

“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the
LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor
forsake thee.” Deuteronomy 31:6

“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And
if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the
righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only,
but also for the sins of the whole world.” 1 John 2:1-2

This is the first correspondence for some time, none of you are left out,
I just haven’t send a message for a few months.  We have much to report, so
many things the Lord is doing, in each of our lives.
I will be getting the updates out soon, God willing.  We have reports
from: Peru, Uganda, Liberia, India, Kenya, Nicaragua,  the USA, Canada,
Ukraine etc.

Our message is simple and powerful.  Thank you all, God bless.  The best
days are ahead.  With God all things are possible!

With much love, Your brother in Jesus Christ,

Here is the document sent by our friend  Miguel Angel Casco González, it
tells a little about the activities that are going on in Nicaragua.  The
English that is first was translated by me from the internet, may not be
exact but the Spanish that he sent follows.  God bless you each one.  Will

CARAGUA CELEBRATES IN PEACE AND RECONCILIATION THE 450th ANNIVERSARY OF
THE TRANSLATION OF THE BIBLE TO THE SPANISH.

Next weekend (September 28 and 29) in all the municipalities of our
country, thousands of evangelical Christians will concentrate on streets
and squares, to celebrate the 450th Anniversary of the translation of the
Bible into Spanish.  Propitious moment to thank God for the precursors of
the Gospel, for the colporteurs who at very difficult times delivered the
Bible to the people, for the young people who literate thousands of
Nicaraguan brothers, for the Government of Reconciliation and National
Unity that honors  to God through love for others and for fostering spaces
of peace and reconciliation.

In truth, this is a great event that forces us all to reflect on the
miracle of the revealed Word, the incarnate Word and the written Word and, how God in time and space preserved for his children a Testament that
contains a great  inheritance and promises in force until today.
Inheritance, promises and blessings to which one has access by reading and
hearing “So faith is by hearing, and hearing, by the word of God” (Romans
10:17) Consequently, not being able to study the  Bible in the language of
the people is like having a sealed book.  This is what the biblical prophet
was referring to when he said: “And all vision will be to you as words of a
sealed book, which, if they give to the one who knows how to read, and say:
Read this now;  He will say: I can’t, because it’s sealed.  And if the book
is given to the one who cannot read, saying: Read this now: he will say: I
cannot read “(Isaiah 29: 11,12).

Not long ago, just 54 years ago the bible was like a sealed book for
millions of Spanish-speaking people, who could not read the sacred text in
the original languages.  to the extent that the Catholic faithful attended
the masses to hear the homilies in Latin without understanding anything the priest said.  While this was happening in the Catholic parishes, in the
valleys and regions of Nicaragua, the pioneers of the evangelical churches
distributed bibles to the people in their own language, thus establishing a
direct link with the poorest and most humble sectors.

GOD’S PLAN WAS IN MARCH

It was not God’s will that the Spanish-speaking peoples listen to his Word
in other languages or that his Testament was a secret code, with access
only to privileged minorities.  Important efforts were carried out by
Catholic and Protestant scholars to translate important fragments of the
biblical canon into Spanish.  Prior to the publication of the complete work
of Casiodoro de Reina, the existing bibles (or part of them) in Spanish,
were translations made from the Vulgate of San Jerónimo de Estridón.  The
Bear Bible was published in Basel, Switzerland, on September 28, 1569. Its
translator was Casiodoro de Reina, a Spanish Catholic religious converted
to Protestantism. This first complete edition of the Bible in Spanish
receives the nickname of Reina Valera for having  Cipriano de Valera made
her first revision in 1602. Thus, as of September 28, 1569 – 450 years ago
– the Spanish-speaking world began to read the sacred text in its own
language.

In our case in 1999 and 2010 justice was done to the original Miskitu and
Mayangna peoples.  Leaders of the Moravian Church established in the
Nicaraguan Caribbean since 1849, together with Capuchin friars, were the
precursors of important translations of the Bible into the vernacular of
native peoples.  In 1999, Papang Yulni (The Word of God) was published in
the Mayangna language and in 2010 Dawan Bila (The Word of God) in the
Miskita language.- both publications were supported and advised by CIEETS
and the SBU.  Thus fulfilling the purpose of God for the original peoples,
heirs of the eternal promises.

THE WORD PROCESS

The written word that is contained in the Bible today was first a hidden
word in the mind of God, which is then revealed and inspired.  “All the
writing is inspired by God and useful… In a third moment the Word
revealed to patriarchs and prophets becomes flesh and dwells among us.
Mystery and miracle that is conjugated in what is revealed in St. John: .1
and 1: 14 “In the beginning was the Word (The Word), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  And that Word was made flesh, and I dwell among us (and we saw his glory, glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth. “This revelation is the synthesis of the mystery of the incarnation of the Word in the fruitful womb of the  Virgin Mary From this moment on, the voice of God was no longer the intermediary of the patriarchs, the prophets or the angels, but it was directly through his son Jesus.  Of which the writer testifies to the Hebrews when he declares: “God having spoken many times, and in many ways at another time to the parents for the prophets.  In these last days he has spoken to us by the Son, to whom I constitute heir of everything, and by whom he also made the universe (Hebrews 1: 1-2)

Later that Word that was in the mind of God, which was revealed and
incarnated, went on to experience another miracle, surviving the oral
tradition becoming a written Word that exposes and reveals the plan of
salvation for humanity. How, then, will they invoke  the one in whom they
have not believed?  And how will they believe in the one from whom they
have not heard?  And how can they hear without a preacher?  And how will
they preach if they are not sent?  (Romans 10: 14, 15)

THE WORD OF GOD IS LIVE AND EFFECTIVE

Because as the rain and snow descend from the heavens, And they do not
return there but they irrigate the earth, Making it produce and germinate,
giving seed to the sower and bread to him who eats, so will be my word that comes out of my mouth, no He will return to Me empty, without having done what I desire, and accomplished the purpose, to whom I sent it “(Isaiah 55: 10-11) This means that the word of God has the power to produce profound and radical changes in people’s lives and in society.  The word of God is like a deep river, that its flow does not run out and that in its wake gives life to everyone who drinks from that water;  because “the grass dries up, the flower withers, but the word of our God remains forever.”  (1 Peter 1:24).  It is an eternal word and its invariable fulfillment “For in truth I say to you that until the heavens and the earth pass, neither the smallest letter nor a mark of the law will be lost until everything is fulfilled” (Matthew 5: 18)  )

THE BIBLE IS THE MOST READ BOOK

The translations of the Bible have been numerous, it has been translated
into 450 languages completely and more than 2000 partially, which makes
the Bible the most translated book in history.  Some of them have been
transcendental for the development of the languages and cultures in which
they occurred, but above all their influence on history, science, knowledge
and social and spiritual transformation of peoples has been transcendent.
.  The Bible is the Book that contains the message of God for humanity.  It
deals with God and the human condition.  From its first pages it teaches
that there is a creative God, which requires obedience, faithfulness and
responsibility.  He relates that the failure of humanity is born in his
disobedience to God, by choosing his own path and will.  The Bible also
tells us about the action and revelation of God, about his love and his
saving power manifested in the midst of human history.  The Bible is the
Word of God, because through it God speaks to his people, and makes known to him his will and his ways of acting in the world.  The Bible tells us
about Laws, Decrees and Statutes and above all reveals the great love of
God for humanity by sending his only son Jesus to this Planet Earth to be
born from the womb of the Virgin Mary to rescue us from eternal death and  Give us life in abundance.  Only the thought of God is before the word and this once said generates liberating action in people and in society.

NICARAGUA IS FERTILE LAND FOR THE WORD OF GOD

Nicaragua is a fertile land where the Word of God germinates and bears
fruit, runs and is glorified in the midst of its people.  Its
transformative effect is present and real, not only because the vast
majority of Nicaraguans are believers in the God of life, but because we
have assumed love and solidarity towards others as a Christian value.  So I
can say that the life of this people – in their different areas – is marked
by the Grace of God

One of these areas is the implementation of a social policy inspired by
Christian Values, Socialist Ideals and Solidarity Practices, whose actions
have the neighbor as the main subject.  On that horizon the Gospel teaches
us that love of neighbor is an essential component of the Christian faith.
“For he who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God
who has not seen” (1 Jn 4:20)….  “He who says that he is in the light,
and hates his brother, is still in darkness” (1 John 2: 10) because “in
this the sons of God and the sons of the devil are manifest: anyone who
does not  justice, and who does not love his brother, is not of God. ”  (1
John 3: 10) Here the binomial Faith and work is synthesized in love and
justice towards others, fundamental pillars for the construction of peace.

Let us celebrate with faith and joy this 450th Anniversary of the
translation of the Bible into Spanish and not be content just to have the
Bible in our homes or to take it to our churches.  The Bible is to
scrutinize it and, above all, put it into practice.  The apostle exhorts
us: “Be more doers of the word, and not only listeners, deceiving
yourselves.  Because if anyone hears the word, and does not put it to work,
this is similar to the man who considers his natural face in a mirror.
Because he considered himself, and left, and then forgot how he was, so
that we are not forgetful listeners, but doers of truth.  (James 1:
22-27).  Therefore, do not worry about what we do not understand from the
Bible.  Let us worry about what we understand and do not apply to our
lives.

Rev.  Miguel Angel Casco González

Pastoral Movement.
